On September 29, 30 and October 1, IASCD worked with Imp House, LLC to shoot interviews and footage for a short video to tell the conservation story in Idaho. Footage was recorded in Owyhee Conservation District, Ada SWCD, Elmore SWCD, Canyon SCD, and Squaw Creek SCD. The video features interviews from Rob Sampson with NRCS, Delwyne Trefz with the SWC, Teri Murrison with the SWC and David Ascuena with the Elmore SWCD and IASCD. Imp House has donated time to shoot the video, and will edit the footage over the next few weeks. We hope to have a rough cut prepared for the November conference.
IASCD is beginning a proactive, content-driven video campaign promoting the conservation work of districts, and Idaho farmers and ranchers. If we can raise enough funding from private foundations, Idaho corporations and grants, we plan to create nearly 9 hours of video that will spotlight each of our member districts, as well as short clips that discuss our history, conservation partnerships, youth education efforts, projects outside the farmer’s field, work with wildlife conservation and the overall importance of non-regulatory, locally-led conservation efforts.
Thank you to all at Imp House for kick starting our idea, and please check out some of their previous work!
